Hong Kong Travels

Hong Kong is the most diverse city I've been to. No other city I know can combine sandy beaches, fisherman's villages, towering skyscrapers, and British-Colonial architecture in the same place.

A view from a Cathay Pacific flight, shortly before landing in Hong Kong International Airport.

It's where the East meets West. Where British-Colonial style architecture intermingles with 21st century skyscrapers. It's called the financial hub of Asia for a reason, and for the most part of the 20th century, few Asian cities can contest the might of the city that is Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Escapades

Hong Kong is the closest city I've been that's straight out of a sci-fi novel. The neon lights everywhere. Tall skyscrapers situated throughout Hong Kong Island's mountains. The famous Peak which offers an unparalleled view, where the most expensive real estate in the world resides. There's even a Disneyland on Lantau Island! Hong Kong is special to me, because it's one of the few major cities in the world that is not only innovative and wealthy, but sticks to its culture and past. There's no place like Hong Kong.
